ML:2^m is your modern Eurorack modular synchronization solution for staying in time with iOS and Android music apps, DJ and VJ software, Ableton Live, or any other DAW or device that supports Ableton Link (such as our Missing Link, Junior!).

How Does ML:2^m work?

At the core of ML:2^m is tight integration with Ableton Link. This allows ML:2^m to stay in sync with other Ableton Link devices such as DAWs, iOS music apps, and DJ software. ML:2^m takes this Ableton Link synchronization data and translates it in to clock pulses, gates, and MIDI messages that your studio hardware understands.

Quantized Start and Stop

Pressing the Play button on the faceplate of ML:2^m starts and stops the clock output. When networked with other Ableton Link devices the starting and stopping of the clock is quantized to a loop that is in time with the shared musical timeline in Ableton Link. By default this loop is a 4-beat loop. It can be set to any number of beats within the Web Editor.

2.4 GHz WiFi Connectivity

The Missing Link can join your home or studio WiFi network to jam with your other Link devices. No reliable WiFi nearby? The Missing Link is happy to be the WiFi Access Point all the Link devices connect to.

Two Configurable Output Jacks

Outputs A & B can be configured in several ways:

Clocks at various PPQN settings
Trigger Reset each loop or at Loop Start or Stop
Run/Stop Gate for DIN-Sync style clock.

Output B also has the option of being switched into a TRS A MIDI clock output port. A TRS A MIDI adapter cable is included in the box.

Output A is also a TRS port that actually has both the A and B CV clock signals stacked on its Tip and Ring, respectively. A TRS to dual mono adapter is included in the box!

Rich Web-Based Application for Deep Editing

ML:2m has a web-based editor for setting up WiFi and changing the output jack settings.

Wireless Sync Across Cases

Don’t have any Link-compatible DAWs or apps? ML:2^m also works standalone as a clock generator and can synchronize with other Missing Link devices for wireless sync across your setup. No more long cable runs to pass sync between your cases or desktop sequencers!
